Liberty Woodcraft’s furniture is designed and crafted to last for generations. We are confident in the quality of our furniture. Therefore, our warranty covers defects in the workmanship and construction for a period of 1 year. If a defect is found during that period, we will either repair or replace the item.
Wood is a natural product that reacts to changes in humidity by expanding or contracting, which can cause checking in the grain or minor gaps in joints. Seasonal gapping or minor checks in the grain are considered a normal occurrence and should not be assumed to be a defect. If the environment is not controlled, these conditions should be appreciated as an inherent characteristic of solid wood. Indoor humidity levels in the range of 35-45% will minimize gapping, such as at the ends of table leaves.
Direct sunlight and fluorescent fixtures that contain ultra-violet rays can cause chemical changes in the wood and finish. Furniture should also be kept away from direct sources of heating and cooling and out of attic or basement storing environments.
What type of wood do you use?
Geoff only uses premium products for the furniture he builds. His beautiful furniture is handcrafted out of the highest quality hardwoods. We offer Ambrosia Maple, Knotty Alder, Red and White Oak, Ash, Maple and Walnut. We have also used Cherry, Mahogany, and Blood Wood on special projects. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you don’t see the species of wood you are looking for.
How do I care for my new custom furniture piece?
Naturally we like to consider every piece of furniture that we create to be a work of art, but still our furniture is built for everyday use. To clean and maintain the finish, simply use mild soap (Dawn) with a soft microfiber cloth. Do not use anything abrasive as it may scratch the finish.
How long will it take to receive my new Liberty Woodcraft custom piece?
It can take anywhere from 3-6 months. We build on a first-come, first-served basis so wait times can vary slightly depending upon when orders are placed and the deposit is received.
How is Liberty Woodcraft furniture finished/protected?
Our tables are sealed and protected with the highest-grade commercial stains and finishes.
